Torrance Refining Company employees recognize the impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on many families still struggling to make ends meet. As the Thanksgiving holiday approached, Refinery employee volunteers and their families took the opportunity to be part of a solution to help others enjoy a bountiful holiday meal by partnering with New Challenge Ministries (NCM) of Torrance to help prepare and distribute Thanksgiving food boxes to people in need of food assistance.

Check out the video about the event.

NCM’s Fresh Rescue Food Bank, located near the Torrance Refinery, is the largest private food bank in the South Bay. Since the pandemic, they have helped feed more than one million people including members of the military and their families.
