Shelter-In-Place

Shelter-In-Place (SIP) is a safety response procedure designed to protect the community from airborne hazardous materials. It means taking shelter inside your home, workplace, school, vehicle or a nearby building until the danger has passed. To learn more about Shelter-In-Place, click here.

The Torrance community warning siren sound is below, followed by the all clear chime. Please listen and become familiar with the sounds. The siren system is tested on the first Wednesday of each month at approximately 11:30 a.m.
