A proud supporter of STEM education for decades, Torrance Refining once again sponsored Torrance Unified School District’s (TUSD) TorBots 1197 Robotics Club. TorBots advanced from the first Robotics regional competition to the National Playoffs in Houston, advancing to the second round of the competition, and ending their season with a 3rd Place win. TorBots is comprised of South and West High School students, but is open to all other TUSD high schoolers. The robotics club combines the excitement of engineering with the fun of technology using Java programming to write code for their robot. Learn more about TorBots here.
