At the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce’s 25th Annual Black History Celebration in February, Torrance Refining was presented with the Chamber’s Legacy Award, a distinguished honor recognizing the company’s enduring support and active involvement since the event’s inception.
During the program, Torrance Refining’s Community Relations Manager Barbara Graham, representing the Chamber, said “This wonderful Chamber event celebrates and honors the rich history and countless contributions of Black individuals in our community. I am proud that we have remained a steadfast supporter of this important and inspiring tradition.”
Process Safety Representative Mike Mitchell, Jr. graciously accepted the award on behalf of the company and its employees. Reflecting on the moment, Mitchell shared, “It was an honor to see Torrance Refining recognized for its meaningful participation in and continuing support of this annual celebration.”
