TORC Community Relations Advisor Gesuina Lafayette Presents $1,000 Donation to NTGSL
To celebrate 90-years of continuous operations in the North Torrance community, Torrance Refining Company (TORC) has been making meaningful contributions to worthy groups and causes throughout the neighborhood. At the request of refinery employees, TORC donated $1,000 to the North Torrance Girls Softball League (NTGSL), complementing its earlier donation to the North Torrance Little League (NTLL).
NTGSL coordinator Enny Chung noted, “This really means a lot to us parents. It will help us check off one item on the NTGSL “Bubble Gum” wish list to improve the girls’ experience through sports. The girls enjoy playing in this league, and it is meaningful to have the Torrance Refinery’s support so we can continue to improve our fields and make it a safer space for the kids.”
The donation will help the league improve safety by leveling out the softball fields. Safety is at the heart of everything we do at TORC and we’re proud to take this message into the community, while helping kids learn and grow through sports.
