As a longtime community partner and supporter of the organization, Torrance Refining was recognized as a “Friend of Youth” at Switzer Learning Center’s annual meeting.
Chief Executive Officer of Switzer Learning Center Jeremy L. Deming remarked, “This award is given to individuals and corporate donors who have contributed to the organization’s mission over the past year. There is no other corporate donor in Switzer Learning Center’s sphere that has contributed more than Torrance Refining Company. They are not only a responsible corporate donor, but a generous community partner working actively to connect our organization to other supporters. To be frank, other corporate entities in our South Bay communities could learn a lot from Torrance Refining Company’s corporate philanthropy model.”
