Torrance Refining Company Community Relations Manager Barbara Graham participated as a judge for the Boys and Girls Club Los Angeles to help select the club member who advanced to represent the Wilmington Club at the regional Boys and Girls Club Youth of the Year Awards.
Graham who appreciated the opportunity to serve as a judge said, “Teenagers involved in the Club’s programs are lucky to receive excellent guidance in crucial areas of development and growth during this important stage of their youth.”
The Youth of the Year (YOY) representative embodies Boys & Girls Club of America’s three priority pillars of academic success, good character, and citizenship. Being named YOY is the highest honor bestowed upon Club members. The winner serves as a role model and spokesperson for America’s youth and educates millions of Americans about the power of the Club experience while elevating the national focus on key issues facing children and teens.
